Diamond Select Toys: Battlestar Galactica Sculpture

Battlestar Galactica toys are about to flood the market. Mini-Mates are already available, and action figures are on there way. But before they hit the market we must check out the newest Diamond Select Toys, Battlestar Galactica Resin Statue of the battleship.

The 15" long resin recreation of the ship is amazingly detailed sculpt of the BSG. Art Asylum created the sculpt from the actual digital production files used on the series. The piece is limited to only 2003 pieces based on the year of the ship design's debut.

The Battlestar Galactica rests upon a hand-numbered base BSG logo base. The sculpt can be displayed in two different ways with the Viper decks extended or retracted. Two different decks for either side are included allowing you to decide to display the ship ready for battle or not. The decks easily fit into slots on either side of the ship.

A Certificate of Authenticity is also included signed and numbered by the sculptor Gabriel Koerner. Currenly, Gabriel works as a visual effects artist for Battlestar Galactica.

Overall
This is a very impressive recreation of the Battlestar. I only found one problem with the sculpt, the retracted decks are hard to remove if you should decide to change how the ship is displayed. Limited to only 2003 pieces any BSG fan will want to pick up this statue.
